Volunteer Transportation Safety Advisor
Project-based opportunity · Initial 90-day termWe’re seeking a transportation-safety professional with bicycle/pedestrian experience, a genuine bicycle or eBike riding background, and the ability to turn technical knowledge into useful educational resources.
The initial project would review roadway-hazard instruction and develop a concise companion resource for instructors, including how local programs can refer roadway concerns to the appropriate engineering or public-works staff.
Ideal background
Relevant bicycle/pedestrian, street-design, intersection, or school-access experience; an understanding of riding conditions from the rider’s perspective; clear communication; and evidence of personally completing useful projects or resources.
Licensed civil or traffic engineering credentials are preferred. Current municipal employment is not required. Bicycle/eBike riding experience matters, but eBike ownership is not a requirement.
This is a volunteer educational-support role—not roadway design, formal engineering studies, or infrastructure consulting. Scope and time commitment will be agreed before starting.
