V2RT™ Rider Certification

Two parts. Both required. One standard.

Every rider completes hands-on riding skills training and classroom instruction. Each part is scored pass or fail, and a rider must pass both to earn V2RT certification.

Passing one part does not earn certification. Both parts are required.

Education-First Approach

Education Can Change Behavior.

Diversion: Meaningful Rider Education in Lieu of a Monetary Fine, When Appropriate

Because law enforcement agencies enforce these laws, V2RT can support local diversion programs that give riders an opportunity to complete meaningful education instead of simply paying a fine.

VoltVerified believes many unsafe riding behaviors can be corrected through education, competency, and accountability. Riders should understand the law, recognize the real risks, and demonstrate safer decision-making.

The goal is not simply to stop someone from riding. It is to help them become a safer rider.
Why Law Enforcement Delivery Matters

POST-Certified Law Enforcement Instructors Are the Difference.

VoltVerified training is not simply taught by someone who knows how to ride an eBike.

It is delivered by POST-certified law enforcement instructors who understand the law, see unsafe riding and its consequences firsthand, and are specifically prepared to turn that experience into effective rider education.

VoltVerified provides the V2RT curriculum and instructor certification and encourages certified instructors to deliver training as taught. Participating agencies are independent entities responsible for their own training operations, personnel, and safety practices. VoltVerified does not control and is not responsible for activities, materials, or modifications an agency adds, or for delivery that departs from the V2RT model.
